Future manufacturing systems require smart machines, able to monitor and optimize their performance and interact with the production environment. The development software within the project allows predicting the status & future capacity of consumables and wear parts, based on machining history and sensor inputs. Thus, job schedule can be optimized and part replacements ordered automatically.
