Abstract (Deutsch)	The majority of cellular processes in biology still operate invisibly, not illuminated by even our brightest laser beams, and new fluorophores and fluorescent probes are urgently needed to uncover these processes. We will address this important problem by developing and commercializing a new generation of fluorescent probes that will enable researchers to tackle key problems in biology and medicine that cannot be resolved with existing technologies.
