Force-controlled Precision Grinding for Indexable Inserts

Abstract (German)

Productivity and production quality of Agathon¿s indexable insert grinding machines can be significantly|increased by the development of a novel force-controlled grinding control algorithm. Within this one-year|project, a software option shall be developed, which increases the competitiveness of Agathon¿s machines,|especially in the growing market of advanced materials. The approach is centered on a process model, which|will enable future advanced process optimizations.
