Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
The main objective of the project TMS III is the development of a platform for reliable programming and|reading of implantable devices which are based on magnetic systems. In the current context, these are|valves for the treatment of hydrocephalus. Hydrocephalus is a disorder in which an excessive amount of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) is accumulated in the ventricles of the brain. If untreated, hydrocephalic patients have a high mortality rate and severe mental retardation occurs in many of the survivors.
