Abstract (German)

A combined manufacturing process using high performance fiber reinforced polymers (autoclave prepregs) and additive manufactured elements allows novel lightweight structural designs with integrated functions as well as the use of simple tooling. This extraordinary combination makes the proposed process well suitable for complex single piece or low volume lightweight structures. The potential shall be demonstrated by the development of a highly integrated aircraft instrument panel.
