Foils for Transparent and Colour-Free Solar Energy Harvesting

Abstract (German)

The integration of photovoltaics into systems can benefit from the development of a transparent color-less light harvesting foil to improve the light harvesting efficiency with a reduced visual impact. This feasibility study aims to the experimental proof-of-concept of this foil, based on a technology patented together by CSEM and EMPA. A successful validation will enable us to address Swiss industrial partners in different domains, which have already manifested their interest and may then enter into specific R&D projects in different fields of use.
