Empa¿s Laboratory of Advanced Fibers and Plastika Balumag AG have agreed to establish a collaboration with the|purpose of developing an easily recyclable thermoformed, ultra-light, fully thermoplastic continuous fiber-reinforced|composite demonstrator. The thermoformed composite will be based on a hybrid yarn developed at Empa by means of overjacketing extrusion. The demonstrator shall enable the preparation of a full CTI project for the development of a marketable thermoformed product.
