The aim of the project is to further develop a control algorithm for the personalized delivery of insulin for diabetic patients and to integrate it with a highly accurate pump into a closed loop system. Specifically, a novel reinforcement based algorithm able to personalize the insulin dose to be infused by a patch pump based on glucose data will be optimized and evaluated. The algorithm will run on the wireless portable device that is used for the programming of the pump.
