Internal Extraction Layers for Flexible Organic Light Emitting Diodes (FlexOLED)

Abstract (German)

FlexOLED develops internal light extraction layers to enhance the efficiency of flexible organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) for lighting and displays. Internal light extraction layers can double the efficiency of today's OLEDs. Specialized high optical index materials that can survive OLED fabrication are needed. Three light extraction strategies will be demonstrated. FlexOLED will deliver the material, characterization and design tools to make breakthrough flexible OLEDs.
