The objective of the project is the development of a user-friendly cost-effective system for detection and indoor localization of cellular phones in prisons and restricted areas. The developed system shall help to counteract problems with huge societal impact emerging from criminal acts organized and directed from within the prisons. Active cellular phones shall be detected and localized immediately regardless if they operate in the 2G, 3G or 4G communication standard.
