The project aims to develop and tune a bioresorbable stent made of a metallic scaaffold and a polymer coating loaded with an active pharmaceutical ingredient for the treatment of artery diseasees. The stent will be produced from a unique magnesium based alloy and a biosynthesized polyester ccoating for which degradation and drug elution kinetics can be controlled. The stent design will be optimized usinng computer aided engineering techniques
