Sustainable Intensification of Agricultural Cropping Systems Supported by Smart Swiss|ICT-AGRI Solutions

Abstract (German)

Create a novel decision support system to manage crops, respecting the needs of the plants and the|environmental conditions. The system captures relevant data by means of wireless sensors and is managing|this data in an integrated cloud solution including self-learning algorithms. The project aims at building on Swiss agronomic excellence, namely in fruit orchard management, Agri-ICT and crop modelling, leveraging|the existing pest forecast system ¿SOPRA¿. Its final goal is to create a new state of the art for precision farming for the showcases apple and cocoa.
