Abstract (German)

As medium-sized company that runs its production in Switzerland, Brugg Cables has to cope with high fixed costs and strong CHF. Vital for a long-term perspective is, therefore, to be very efficient in exploiting its production facilities. This involves optimal coordination of production planning and sales activities. By simulating the impact of management decisions on production workload and profitability, the application developed here provides sound management support.
