Intelligent bed to monitor and reduce snoring and to detect sleep apnea indicators.

Abstract (German)

Goal of this CTI project is developing an intelligent bed to monitor and quantify snoring activity in real-time and to provide controlled positional therapy to reduce it. Additionally, the bed will analyze overnight recordings to automatically detect sleep apnea indicators. The system will include: microphones for acoustic recording, actuators to adjust the mattress shape and to provide vibratory stimulation, dedicated computation unit, simple and intuitive user interface.
