Coupled control for efficient power production in wind energy systems with tethered wings
Abstract
(German)
TwingTec develops and markets mobile wind energy systems for off-grid power supply applications. In this collaborative R&D project with partners from Empa, FHNW, ETH, EPFL and ZHAW, TwingTec aims to develop new estimation and control strategies coupling the wing with the ground station in order to optimize the power output of its wind energy system based on tethered wings. This project plays a key role in the validation of a scaled demonstrator system that will enable TwingTec to enter the commercialization phase.
