Kurzbeschreibung (Englisch)

The Swiss Living Challenge (SLC) is the project being developed for the United States Department of Energy Solar Decathlon-2017 competition within a consortium of four Swiss universities: The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the School of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg (HEIA-FR) as core partners, in collaboration with the University of Fribourg (UNI-FR) and the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD). The project is led by EPFL, a research university founded by the Swiss Federal Government. The structure of the organization and its extensive network of partners provide EPFL all the requirements to develop an ambitious project for the competition.

Das Schweizer Team glänzte an dem renommierten Solar Decathlon 2017 Wettbewerb in den Vereinigten Staaten mit ihrem Solarhaus NeighborHub! Die Swiss Living Challenge erreicht seinen Höhepunkt mit der ultimativen Anerkennung von einem multidisziplinären Team: 4 Hochschulen, 250 Studenten, darunter 44 Solarzehnkämpfer in Denver, 150 Berater aus der professionellen und akademischen Welt und fast 50 Partner! Und ebenso wichtig wie der Sieg ist das menschliche Abenteuer als prägende und unvergessliche Lernerfahrung.

The Swiss team and their solar house, the NeighborHub, won the prestigious Solar Decathlon 2017 competition in the Unites States. The Swiss Living Challenge and its multidisciplinary team - 4 schools, 250 students (44 in Denver), 150 supervisors from the professional and academic sectors, and close to 50 sponsors - culminated with the highest award. This unique experience is not only an important victory, but also an unforgettable and educational human adventure.

L’équipe suisse a brillé lors de la prestigieuse compétition Solar Decathlon 2017 aux Etats-Unis avec sa maison solaire NeighborHub ! Le Swiss Living Challenge culmine avec cette reconnaissance ultime récompensant une équipe multidisciplinaire : 4 hautes écoles, 250 étudiants dont 44 solar décathlètes présents à Denver, 150 encadrants des secteurs professionnel et académique et près de 50 partenaires ! Et aussi importante que la victoire, il y a cette aventure humaine autant formatrice qu’inoubliable …
