Short description (English)

The recently founded Nepal Transition To Peace-Institute (NTTP-I) will convene facilitated dialogue processes at national, thematic and subnational level. The core will be the NTTP Forum, a Track 1.5 confidential and trusted dialogue space for political parties, which has been convened by two nationally well-respected senior facilitators since 2005. In this unique space, parties have continued to engage in dialogue even when the formal processes collapsed. The Forum as well as the other dialogue processes are strengthened through policy options and recommendations resulting from the research and knowledge management activities of NTTP-L Additionally, NTTP-I will be capacitated in order to consolidate as an independent Institute enabling the protection of the familiar and trusted space for the political dialogues allowing the involved actors to find solutions for outstanding issues of the peace process and to contribute ultimately to the peaceful finalization of the political transition in Nepal.
