In this project, the worlds first commercially available surgical stereotactic robotic system for applications on|the lateral skull base and more specifically for support during hearing aid implantations shall be developed.|The existing research technology will be improved and completed towards a commercially viable solution.|Activities include an advanced robotic control and manipulator design, integration safety features and the|development of a head rest system as well a complete clinical approach to minimally-invasive implantation|of cochlea implants.
