Abstract (German)	The project is aimed at elucidating the mechanism of action of a newly developed disease-modifying immunotherapy for type-2 diabetes, along with the identification of biomarkers for patient selection and monitoring of the clinical response. The resulting data package will allow for the progression of this experimental therapy towards clinical development and partnering with a major biopharmaceutical company.
