Improving adherence in cystic fibrosis: Investigation of the feasibility of monitoring patient behavior through a smart network of sensors attached to patients' medical equipment.
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
The feasibility of employing a smart network of sensors attached directly to patients` medical devices is investigated with the goal of improving adherence in cystic fibrosis patients. Simple current and temperature sensors are employed to non-invasively monitor device use and ensure correct operational state. A web-based interface is provided to help patients and physicians track behavior and provide feedback on patient adherence and performance.
