The accuracy of Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) systems is mainly affected by road and / or installation defects. A tool & method to measure the sensitivity and to characterise the response versus the lateral position of WIM sites will enable Kistler to improve the performance of its WIM equipment and identify problems related to the installation. Such systems will provide higher measurement accuracy and reliability and will increase customer confidence.
