Functionalization and modification of cable surfaces with e-beam assisted grafting|reactions (e-grafting): HUBER+SUHNER AG
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
HUBER+SUHNER AG produces high-end cable solutions for transportation, communication and|industrial markets. In this project, COMET's low-energy e-beam technology will be used to develop ebeam|assisted grafting-to reactions for the modification of cable surfaces. The main emphasis is on|making cable surfaces hydrophilic, which is expected to improve properties such as stickiness, sliding|friction and adhesion to cable grommets. In a second attempt, grafting of stabilizers will be explored for|improved long-term stability.
