Development of an integrated sensor system for analysis of gait and postural stability

Abstract (German)

Develop a real-time sensor system sensing motion, plantar-pressure and distance between modules for medical rehabilitation that addresses the prevention and detection of problems of gait and balance with a personalized, cost-optimal physiotherapy system supporting diagnosing, monitoring (logging) and advising patients to achieve a faster recovery thereby reducing total healthcare costs. During the project, the system will be evaluated against state-of-the-art.
