Rare Earth Oxides shall be investigated for the controlled modification of the surface properties of high-end glass applications e.g. for flat panel displays in order to tune their adhesion and wetting behaviour to impact the 'look and feel'. In close collaboration, the partners shall exploit and upscale the manufacturing of ultra-thin Rare Earth Oxide films on glass with the potential for Glass Troesch to gain technology leadership in this field.
