Development of a 3D printed compliant band structure with integrated piezoresistive strain sensor material (CoPiSens): MIP: STBL Medical Research AG
Abstract
(Deutsch)
During medical tests in the PieSoMed CTI project, it could be shown that developed textile based sensor bands can be used as standalone devices to monitor the pulse wave. Additionally over the last few months it became clear, that potential for the developed STBL-BPM (blood pressure monitor) offers at least a good solution for hospital applications. The aim of the project is the design and implementation of an expandable compliant structure or metamaterial-based band with a piezoresistive sensor embedded for the determination of the pulse wave directly and the contact pressure in the STBL-BPM by 3D printing technology for the big consumer market. As a consumer market we think about smart wrist band sensors to monitor pulse wave (HF) for traditional watches and the integration in the STBL-BPM device.
