The use of delivery vehicles is at the basis of better tolerable and more efficacious novel classes of targeted drugs [termed Antibody- (ADC-)or Small molecule-(SMDC-)Drug Conjugates). Until now the development of ADC and SMDC relies on target cells internalization, which is difficult to measure and exploit. Here we will develop a novel and superior class of ADC and SMDC which will not require internalization of delivery vehicles and will liberate the toxic payload on demand.
