Monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) account for a large share of the rapidly growing biological drugs|market. Whilst the market for such drugs is expected to reach $62.3 billion in 2015, the biggest|obstacle in MAb production ¿ purification, is still suboptimal. Expensive Protein A resins are|used but they can be sensitive to elution and sterilization conditions. In combination with|ChromaCon¿s proprietary technology, this project aims to develop and commercialize a novel,|efficient and cost effective antibody purification process using a novel affinity reagent for|humanized antibodies.
