Non-invasive, live-microscopy imaging of whole organs or organisms generates data of unprecedented complexity. Image analysts and biologists are currently missing an integrative, flexible and user-friendly processing environment. Bitplane will develop a new software enabling robust image segmentation, cell lineage tracking and morphodynamics mapping for large biological image datasets. A synergistic cooperation between Bitplane R&D, an image processing theorist and a biologist is needed.
