Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) allows one to establish secret keys between two users, whose secrecy is guaranteed by the laws of quantum physics. The goal of this project is to validate that the QKD technology can be compatible with the current telecom standards. We aim to develop cheap and compact ATCA (Advanced Telecommunication Computing Architecture)QKD modules. For this purpose we will take advantage of the technology developed within the nano-tera project QCRYPT.
