Ultrasound imaging is a low-cost, real-time, and non-ionizing medical image modality. Hence, it is ubiquitous|in screening and diagnosis. However, the interpretation of ultrasound images with concurrent manipulation of|ultrasound transducers is a complex task, requiring substantial training. To facilitate such training, this project|aims to develop techniques for ultrasound image simulation integrated with computerized virtual-reality|training systems.
