Abstract (German)	The struggle for reduction in CO2 emissions and compliance with car safety regulations forces automotive OEM to find new lightweight and high performance solutions. Current high strength steels offer only marginal weight reductions and require complex forming processes. New hybrid Aluminium-Fibre Reinforced Polymer sheets fully compatible with the current fabrication processes could replace those steels in various applications in up to 1.5 million vehicles per year.
Abstract (English)
