Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
We aim at developing a 3D microtissue culture to study liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. This in vitro system will|contain functional hepatocytes, Kupffer and stellate cells. We will evaluate primary human liver cells with|these key cell types, as well as available cell lines of human origin. To address translational aspects, we|will also establish a rodent-based system. Both systems will be applicable for toxicity studies, disease|progression and responses to pharmacological intervention. They will be made commecially available as|an off-the-shelf product or as a fee-for-service assay.
