T-2014-008: CDPs for separation of value added lignin products during biocatalytic treatment
Short description

CDPs for separation of value added lignin products during biocatalytic treatment
Abstract
(German)
Lignin conversion to value-added monophenols using oxidative biocatalytic process is regarded as a promising route for lignin utilization in future biorefineries. In order to limit re-polymerization reactions during this process cyclodextrin-based polymers (CDPs) will be applied for the in situ capture of monophenols from reaction mixtures. Specifically tailored CDPs might also allow selective extraction of commercially interesting products, thereby facilitating downstream processing.
