Minimally-Invasive Device for Mitral Valve Repair

Abstract (German)

Surgical repair of the mitral valve is a time consuming, delicate procedure that is very traumatic. Our team is developing a tool that can replace the surgery by a minimally-invasive cardiology procedure, which is much faster and more accurate and results in the most natural repair available to date. The present project phase focuses on the design manufacturing optimization, design of adjuvant tools, pre-operative planning technique and pre-clinical testing.
