The study on 'Broadening Participation in Peace Process Negotiations' conducted by the Graduate Institute Geneva and by Bilkent University in Ankara, responds to a need spelled out in the UN Secretary General's report on mediation (GA/11278, 13 September 2012), as well by field practitioners. The Study will propose a set of models of inclusion to be used as policy and process design guidance, exemplified by case studies from différent contexts. The study also envisages responding to Strategie questions as for instance regarding timing, sélection, capacity opportunities and challenges, as well as gender, related to participation in peace process negotiations.
