Short description
(English)

The Human Security Division (HSD) has come to realize that in its work, the question of strategies to address organized crime (OC) actors in peacemaking and peacebuilding processes will be increasingly important. In order to stimulate internal discussions and to ultlmately shape its policies, HSD has identified the need for an overview of the current academie literature, the strategies it proposes and the best practices suggested.

Project aims
(English)

The study serves as a basis for informed strategie discussions to address the question of how to deal with actors of OC in peacebuilding within the HSD. Furthermore, HSD envisages an annotated glossary, where the most important terms are catalogued and defined. This will help to avoid confusion, foster the specific knowledge of HSD Desks and generally make discussions easier.
