The Arab Youth Project, startet in 2012, aims to develop an understanding of the Arab yourth population and provide policymakers with an insights into their priorities and their role as influencers with the Arab world's new political landscape.

The project will use its findings to suggest ways and means of building relationships between the international community and the new generatin of actors in the Arab world. The research findings will be published in 2013 in a monograph and distributed among all stakeholders, including policymakers, civil socitey members, and media.
Social media tools and targeted disseminations will be utilized in order to futher facilitate an exchange of information and lessons learnt across the region. Articles and commentaries will also be published during the course of the fieldwork, with reporting from the ground.
The project will also constitute a policy dialogue component. This will include a policy forum at IPI in 2013, policy forums and brown bags at other think tanks in New York and Washington in 2012 and 2013, briefings to Permanent Missions to the UN, as well as briefings in the region to disseminate the research. Dialogue sessions aim to enhance knowledge, capacity, and policy effectiveness, as well as generate broader awareness and consensus at a variety of political levels. This will also serve to initate a dialogue among key stakeholders in the region, including among civil society actors and policymakers, as well as the gnerla public.
