Abstract (German)

Obesity and its associated co-morbidities such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular|complications have become a major burden worldwide with limited options for treatment. ETH Zürich and|Glycemicon are planning a project with the aim to further characterize promising as well as to identify new|naturally occurring substances that can be used to treat either type 2 diabetes or obesity by influencing|adipose tissue function and composition.
