A new approach to overcome limitations in producing highly blended cement

Abstract (Deutsch)

This is a feasibility project aimed at identifying the best possible solutions to overcome the barriers in|producing blended cements with high clinker replacements without decreasing cement quality. To achieve|this objective it is necessary (1) to understand at the molecular level the passivation mechanism induced by|aluminates on silicates hydration and (2) to identify chemicals to accelerate hydration. This will allow us to|develop formulations of new and/or improved blended cements.
