Development and Industrialization of a sensor for continuous intraocular monitoring
Abstract
(German)
Development of a 24 hour watertight capacitive sensor system embedded in a soft contact lens. The system|shall be able to detect accurately and monitor continuously intraocular pressure (IOP) for a period of 24 h as|well as the biomechanical properties of the cornea. The sensor is able to send the measured data via RF|coupling to an external reader.|Ultrathin multilayers for biocompatible watertight packaging as well as industrializable thin-flim deposition of|customized electronic components are essential parts of the project.
