CLR-LIGA 2.0 : High security diffractive watch components to prevent counterfeiting

Abstract (German)

To prevent counterfeiting in the watch industry, we propose the development of watch components with a|diffractive microstructure, also known as CLRs (Covert Laser Readables), using the LIGA technology.|Even micro-mechanical parts such as cogwheels can be manufactured with a small diffractive area, thus|providing a strong advantage compared to existing security holograms. The authenticity can be controlled|easily, either by the watch owner or customs offices.
