We want to develop software that allows surgeons to design individualized patient-specific implants that can be directly manufactured with fast turn-around times. One key innovation is the integration of engineering knowledge and manufacturing guidelines into the planning software. The goal of this project is to prove the feasibility of integrating such know-how into a semi-automatic implant design process, for the example of cranio-maxillo-facial indication.
