Abstract (Englisch)

The goal of this application is the proof of concept allowing the creation of company developing inhibitors of the proton channel Hv1, based on results and know-how from the University of Geneva. Hv1 is an emergency outlet for protons during excessive cellular metabolic activity, dispensable under normal physiological conditions. Hv1 inhibitors are of interest to limit overshooting cellular activity in disease situations, in particular inflammation and cancer.
