This project fosters the dissemination of N2O isotopomer analysis by strengthening our confidence in new laser technologies and by providing information on the potential and limitations of laser spectroscopy and IRMS for N2O isotopomer analysis. In particular, the performance of Quantum Cascade Absorption Spectroscopy (QCLAS) for high precision N2O isotopomer analysis at variable concentrations was improved by implementing continuous wave lasers, by providing N2O calibration gases covering the full range of relevant ƒÔ15NƒÑ and ƒÔ15NƒÒ values, and by inter-comparison measurements between QCLAS and IRMS.
