Development of a new respiratory muscle training and testing system

Abstract (German)

Specific training of respiratory muscles is increasingly used for patients suffering from pulmonary, cardiovascular and neuromuscular impairments but available training devices have very limited features. A new system will be developed allowing both endurance and strength training and including vibration. The system will include new, state-of-the-art muscle testing and training programs, data logging, and a motivating training environment to support compliance.
