Abstract

The goal of this project is a significant increase in lifetime of current high-speed turbocompressors, while keeping the performance and small volume, and decreasing the cost for mass manufacturing. This will be achieved by advanced modeling and improvement of gas lubricated bearings and manufacturing cost modeling coupled to an integrated system design process.
