Abstract (Deutsch)

The aim of this project is to develop a novel production process for high molecular weight, bio-based copolymers. It is aimed to replace current approaches which produce the final polymer through the conventional linear polycondensation step growth mechanism. Two major process steps will be addressed: (i) synthesis and purification of the monomers (cyclic oligomers) and (ii) their reaction by ring-opening chain-growth polymerization to materials of industrial relevance.
