Development of active ingredients for applications in age-associated muscle metabolic disorders

Abstract (German)

Amazentis SA has identified and isolated a series of naturally derived compounds that show a potent effect against aging-related decline in muscle function an metabolism. This project aims to carry out detailed characterization of these isolated natural compounds in relevant animal models, in order to select the best compounds for further development toward the clinic. The eventual objective is to develop functional food ingredients that can combat aging-associated muscle function and metabolism disorders.
