Virus characterization is of high interest for clinicians as virus are characterized daily in hospitals for diagnostic purpose. In recent years, MALDI ToF mass spectrometry technology has been introduced in hospitals for a fast identification of bacteria, making a technological revolution in the field of microbiological test. Using it's unique High-Mass system, CovalX would like to add a "Virus Option" to the large number of MALDI ToF mass spectrometer already installed in hospitals.
