Abstract (German)

Die Bedeutung der schnellen Visualisierung von CAD Modellen im Web und auf mobilen Endgeräten wird immer grösser. Individuell in der Cloud konfigurierte CAD Modelle müssen dort nicht nur schnell erzeugt werden sondern auch anschliessend effizient zu den (mobilen) Endgeräten übertragen und dort visualisiert werden. Gegenstand des Projektes ist es, die Vorteile, welche Cloud-Computing im Allgemeinen bietet, durch das intelligente Zusammenspiel diverser komplexer Komponenten für CAD-Anwendungen nutzbar zu machen.

Abstract (English)

The importance of fast visualization of CAD models in the web and on handheld devices is constantly increasing. CAD models, individually configured and generated in the cloud in a fast manner, have to be transmitted efficiently to enduser devices and visualized quickly. This project aims at taking advantage of cloud-computing properties and utilizing them in CAD applications by intelligently combining various complex components.
